Hi, my name is Marije and I'm the owner of Barks & Braids. I'm 21 years old and live together with my boyfriend in The Netherlands, near Rotterdam. Beside working as a small bussiness owner, I also work a full time job as a Finance Young Professional. Beside all the working I like to spend my time going on hikes, sport activities and having nice food. (I'm a big foodie:))

Last year we adopted Mia, my best friend and biggest inspiration in life. She is a full breed Bernese Mountaindog. Very stubborn, but also the silliest and sweetest pup. She is a huge cuddlebug and loves to go outside. She's also very social and has a lot of friends.

We have tried a lot of anti-tick products for Mia, but nothing seemed to help. Until I found out about anti-tick collars with EM ceramics. Beautiful colors, easy and works very good for Mia. The anti-tick collars are made from paracord and this is how I found out about all the doggear. It was a whole new world of paracord. I've always been a very creative person and soon enough I was making collars for Mia. And then one for her best friend. And then one for a new puppy. And then one for another friend. 

Everyone liked the collars and I got a lot of positive comments about them. That's when I decided I wanted to share my hobby, creativity and inspiration with other dog owners, so they can also spoil their dogs and go on safe and fashionable walks. After doing a lot of research and training I was ready to start my own bussiness and providew the best for you and your fur babies.

And here we are, welcome to Barks & Braids!

What size does my dog need?

Size is very important for your dogwear, therefor we have made a sizeguide for you, check it our here. If you're having trouble with your dogs size and the sizeguide is not enough of help, please let us know by getting in contact with us!

When will I receive my order?

After ordering we will start making your products. All of your products are handmade on order, therefor it will take up to two weeks to process your order. When your order is finished and ready for shipment, we will let you know. Shipping time varies for the place where you live and which carrier your package will be shipped with.

Do you also sell harnesses?

Not yet! Currently we're working on designing our harnesses. We wil bring out the news as soon as they're available!

How do I need to take care of my paracord dogwear?

You can wash wash your products by hand or in a washing machine on max. 30 °C. If the doggear is sandy, let it dry and wash it after. Don't let the doggear get close to intense heat and don't let it dry in the sun or on a heated area. Dry the metal after it got wet to decrease the chance of rust and keep the color beautiful. 

Can I return my dogwear if it's not to my liking?

We hope you like everything you order with us! All of the products you order are handmade on order, therefor it is not possible to return your products.
